The new movie ‘I Don’t Know How She Does It‘ conducted a survey on an online community site January 15th asking netizens, ‘Which ‘Running Man’ member do you think would be infinitely thoughtful and considerate towards his stressed out girlfriend?’
There was a lot of competition, but Gary seized more than half the votes with 51% to place 1st.
It looks as though the sweet and well-mannered side that he reveals when with fellow ‘Running Man’ member Song Ji Hyo has captured the hearts of viewers and netizens alike.

After cementing his position as the strongest Running Man in the ‘Super-power’ episode of SBS‘ Running Man last Christmas, Gary is finally headed off on his European vacation.
In the ‘super-power’ episode, despite having the most visible power with his clones, Gary was able to turn the encumbrance into an advantage and come out the winner. For his effort, he was rewarded with a trip to Europe, the prize he chose prior to the start of the race.

Gary from hip-hop duo Leessang beat Korea’s favorite MC Yoo Jae Suk in a recent online poll, coming in 1st place as the “nicest” boyfriend a girl can have.
Between January 9th through January 15th, a special online poll was created in promotion for the upcoming release of American film, ‘I Don’t Know How She Does It,’ featuring Sarah Jessica Parker. The poll asked the online community to vote “Which male celebrity from Running Man would always be nice to his girlfriend?”
Despite some tough competition, Gary came out on top with the majority of the votes – a whopping 51%! Gary won most of netizens’ votes due all the romantic deeds and considerate manners he has shown for his “Monday girlfriend” Song Ji Hyo on SBS Running Man. Meanwhile, MC Yoo Jae Suk came in 2nd place (36%), followed by Kim Jong Kook and Haha in 3rd place (7% each).
The translated version of American film ‘I Don’t Know How She Does It,’ which has be renamed as ‘Woman Running in High Heels,’ will be released in Korea on February 2nd.

Singer Yoon Do Hyun and MC Kim Jae Dong will be bringing their charm and wit to an upcoming episode of SBS‘s ’Running Man‘.
On January 11th, ‘Running Man’ producer Cho Hyo Jin informed Star News that ”On the 10th, Yoon Do Hyun and Kim Jae Dong completed shooting at the Busan Cruise.”
The PD continued, “It is a ‘Sherlock Holmes’ special, and there was good chemistry between the guests and the cast members. Kim Jae Dong is always intense when it comes to a battle of wits, and so he was a great addition to the show, while Yoon Do Hyun is sweet and a bit goofy. He’s even better suited for entertainment and variety shows that we expected.”
This ‘Sherlock Holmes’ Special will air on the 29th, so mark your calendars ‘Running Man’ fans!

National MC Yoo Jae Suk‘s gentlemanly manners are drawing attention once again.
On January 9th on an online community board, 2 pictures captured off of SBS’s ‘Running Man’ have been posted tagged, ‘Yoo Jae Suk’s total manner taking off hat for Song Ji Hyo‘.
The first picture shows Yoo Jae Suk wearing a warm beanie on his head and Song Ji Hyo appears to be the only one not wearing a hat. Then in the second picture, Song Ji Hyo is wearing the sky blue beanie that was on Yoo Jae Suk’s head.
Netizens who witness Yoo Jae Suk’s gentlemanly ways once again commented, “So this is why they call him Yooneunim!”, “So many things come up when you search Yoo Jae Suk manner…”, and “Gary, are you looking at this?”

The multitalented actress Song Ji Hyo is extremely busy nowadays showing off her skills in drama, and variety. Song Ji Hyo’s fans are used to the makeup free down to earth yet beautiful ways of Song Ji Hyo on ‘Running Man’ and love her more for it.
However, for the January issue of Bazaar Korea Song Ji Hyo showed off a dreamy and mysterious image far cry from the ‘Running Man’ moments.
The concept of the pictorial was ‘Lady in Red’ and Song Ji Hyo boasts her beauty as a woman in various red dresses. One of the dresses in particular shows off Song Ji Hyo’s well-sculpted yet feminine back with a deep V cut wowing the fans.
Song Ji Hyo said in the interview with Bazaar, “Turning over 30 years of age made me more relaxed. There are less instances where I am afraid of or antsy about things”, revealing the stability she’s found recently.
Song Ji Hyo has recently wrapped up drama ‘Gaebaek’ and currently is enjoying a tremendous amount of love from the viewers as the Monday Girlfriend to Monday Boyfriend Gary making up the much loved Monday Couple on SBS‘s ‘Running Man’.

Is ‘We Got Married’ all there is left for Monday Couple Song Ji Hyo and Gary?
Monday Couple Gary and Song Ji Hyo’s couple look is making waves online.
On the December 25th episode of SBS’s ‘Running Man’, Gary and Song Ji Hyo wore a Christmas couple look and some pictures have been posted on an online community board drawing attention.
Monday Boyfriend Gary wore a red hooded sweatshirt with a red baseball cap. Song Ji Hyo was wearing a red sweater for Christmas on the same episode and Gary and Song Ji Hyo were looking positively affectionate.
Gary and Song Ji Hyo even showed the viewers how a love shot if done and it seemed as though they were on ‘We Got Married’.
On the community board, many people showed their interest in the Monday Couple commenting “They act like they don’t really like each other sometimes but then they do everything that a couple does”, “I root for Monday Couple”, “Only Song Ji Hyo can have Gary”, “Monday Couple looks so good in the red couple look”, and “All that’s left for Monday Couple is ‘We Got Married’.”

‘Running Man’ swept the ’2011 SBS Entertainment Awards’ and now the good news continues with a 100,000,000KRW incentive. (100,000,000KRW = about $86,000 at press time.)
An SBS insider said to ENews on January 6th, “Recently ‘Running Man’ received a 100,000,000KRW incentive. The incentive was for breathing life into Sundays and also for breaking through 20% ratings.”
The SBS Variety Department has been aware of the fact that variety programs have been lagging since ‘Family Outing’ ended and they have set a policy of incentives with 20% ratings as the goal trying to encourage the PD’s.
‘Running Man’ has been gathering steam and for the January 1st episode, it recorded 21.7% in the Seoul Metropolitan area and 19.2% nationally. Since SBS uses the Seoul Metropolitan area data to gauge, ‘Running Man’ has become the first program to receive the incentive.
Perhaps such results were already foretold at the ’2011 SBS Entertainment Daesang’. The cast of ‘Running Man’ has swept the awards in recognition of their talents. At the awards, Yoo Jae Suk has received the Daesang, HaHa ‘Best Entertainer Award’, Lee Kwang Soo ‘Newcomer Award’, Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo the ‘Excellence Award’. The program itself was recognized with the ‘Best Program Award’.
On the January 8th episode of ‘Running Man’, the viewers will be able to meet actors Ji Jin Hee, Kim Sung Soo, Joo Sang Wook, and Lee Chun Hee who rarely appear on variety programs.

Four handsome fellas will be making an appearance on the January 8th broadcast of SBS‘s 'Running Man‘.
Their dashing appearance has already earned them the title, ‘F4′ as depicted on the popular Korean drama, ‘Boys over Flowers‘. The four guests will be: Ji Jin Hee, Lee Chun Hee, Kim Sung Soo, and Joo Sang Wook.
The recording took place at Yeosu, Jeonnam where the ‘F4′ carried out missions in two teams; Ji Jin Hee teamed up with Joo Sang Wook while Lee Chun Hee was partnered with Kim Sung Soo. Singer IU joined in on the fun on the second day, adding a new flavor to the show.
It was reported that on the first day, people swarmed to the filming area when they recognized the identity of the ‘F4′. This caused the traffic to slow down as the locals swarmed in by the hundreds. Photos of the recording were spread like wildfire on online blogs and community sites.
Ji Jin Hee and Lee Chun Hee, who are currently enrolled in the new drama ‘Take care of us, Captain‘, made a comment during the recording of the show. “In light of the new year, we are trying to show our fun sides through ‘Running Man’. We are running hard so please anticipate us and watch our drama.”
Meanwhile actor Joo Sang Wook, who is busy acting in the OCN drama ‘Special Crimes Force Ten‘, expressed, “‘Running Man’ was a new experience. I can’t remember how the one night and two days passed by because it was all so fun. It was such a fun time that I even wanted to be a permanent member on the show.”
Lastly, Kim Sung Soo commented, “I frequently enjoy and watch ‘Running Man’. I had a great time recording the show. As hard as I ran, I think the broadcast will be a lot of fun to watch. First weekend of the new year with ‘Running Man’~!”

Group Super Junior member Kim Heechul and actress Song Ji Hyo‘s picture from the past is creating a buzz.
Recently on an online community, a picture of Kim Heechul and Song Ji Hyo has been posted wearing a couple look on SBS TV’s ‘Inkigayo’. Song Ji Hyo joined ‘Inkigayo’ back in November of 2007 joining Kim Heechul on the show and they worked together as MC’s for about a year.
In the picture, Song Ji Hyo and Kim Heechul are wearing grey hooded tops with hearts on them. Kim Heechul’s top has blue hearts on it and Song Ji Hyo’s top has pink hearts on it. Kim Heechul’s manner hand is drawing attention helping Song Ji Hyo with the mic.
