“Thank You very much.

To be honest my sense of variety isn’t strong, I am also shy. So this year for me to get good results (/for me to grow) I need to thank the two directors and 2 producers. The always working hard staff, the writers and my beloved Running Man members; Jaesuk oppa, Sukjin oppa, Gary oppa, JongKook oppa, Haha oppa and KwangSoo Thank you very much. There isn’t much that I can do , but work harder, next year I will run even harder. To my company CJES and colleagues, my parents and family I love you. Next year I will run even harder.

Lee Kwang Soo thanks ‘brother Gary, pillar of mental strength Kim Jong Kook…’ & HaHa was worried re[posted]

Actor and much loved Kwangvatar of ‘Running Man’, Lee Kwang Soo won the ‘Newcomer in Variety Award’. After receiving the award, Lee Kwang Soo said, “Gary hyung who’s like my real brother, Ji Hyo noona who this year still like to drink, Yoo Jae Suk hyung who I respect, thank you.” Lee Kwang Soo went on to refer to Kim Jong Kook as “The pillar of my mental strength and moral support”.

HaHa won the ‘Best Entertainer Award’ and said, “It feels so different from last year. I really thank you the guests of ‘Running Man’.” HaHa also said, “It was difficult after returning (from the military). It would have been very difficult if it wasn’t for ‘Running Man’. After the military service, I, myself thought I should work hard but the people around me were so warm towards me.” HaHa went on to thank each and every member of ‘Running Man’

Five of the seven ‘Running Man’ members won an award so it was a great day. The common theme appeared to be that they all really cared about each other.

Kim Jong Kook had also said at his win, “I thank the members that gave me love though I am lacking. On our program, the staff really goes through some tough times. Thank you. I will work hard” and smiled.

The love of the ‘Running Man’ family overflowed as their program was celebrated and deservingly so.

Lee Kwang Soo reflects on his New Star Award

Actor Lee Kwangsu completed his thank you speech through his Twitter.

On December 31st, Lee Kwang Soo tweeted,

“Thank you to all the followers who congratulated me. I totally forgot to thank my friend Joong Ki and little sister Lizzy because it was so sudden and unexpected. I’m sorry, I’m sorry. You know my heart right? In the future, if by chance I get another good opportunity, I will think straight and say your names first. I love you“

“Running Man” co-star Haha sent a message in reply saying,

“Congratulations Kwang Soo! There’s no way you’ll be getting any more [awards] ha!“

On December 30th, Lee Kwang Soo was awarded the Variety New Star Award at the SBS Entertainment Awards. Lee Kwang Soo gave his acceptance speech with his legs spread wide. He said,

“My loving family and agency family, thank you. My ‘Running Man’ family who allowed me to get to this place. Jae Suk-hyung who always compliments me, saying that I am the best. The anchor of the family, Haha, Jong Gook & Gary who are really like older brothers, thanks.”

Actress Song Ji Hyo collected the year end awards going back and forth between variety and drama.

Song Ji Hyo won the ‘Producers Award’ at the ’2011 MBC Drama Daesang’ on December 30th.

Song Ji Hyo said, “I want to say something cool like the sunbaes but I’m nervous. This is the first award as an actress so it has a deep meaning. I thank you so much. The staff of ‘Gaebaek’ and the management company, my family I really love you. They say you have to work very hard when hyou receive an award so I will do my best.”

Song Ji Hyo won the ‘Excellence Award’ in variety for ‘Running Man’ along with ‘Running Man’ family member Kim Jong Kook. Song Ji Hyo is the only female member of ‘Running Man’ and she had been drawing a lot of fans working shoulder to shoulder with the men of ‘Running Man’ Yoo Jae Suk, HaHa, Kim Jong Kook, Lee Kwang Soo, Ji Suk Jin, and her Monday Boyfriend Gary. The ‘love’ between Song Ji Hyo and Gary as ‘Monday Couple’ is truly adding to the interest on ‘Running Man’.

As a result, Song Ji Hyo has collected awards for her wonderful acting abilities as well as her fun side on variety.

Song Ji Hyo thanked others for both awards but it’s clear that the much loved actress Song Ji Hyo is something special.

Winners from the ’2011 KBS Drama Awards’

Broadcasting network KBS concluded the year with an awards ceremony honoring the best in their productions.

2011 was marked by the wild success of family drama ‘Ojakgyo Brothers‘ and the historical romance series, ‘The Princess’ Man‘. Both works took home a solid amount of trophies, but it was Park Shi Hoo and Moon Chae Won who landed the ‘Top Excellence Actor & Actress’ awards.

With his trophy in his hand, Park Shi Hoo said, “The fact that I encountered ‘The Princess’ Man’ was all good fortune. Also, it is an honor for me to receive such a big award. I really thank my company family, who were my crutch as I worked to reach this spot, and my family that I love. I think this year, I took a step closer to my goals. I will continue to become an actor with perseverance. I will share this happiness with my fans.”

His co-star, Moon Chae Won, followed up by saying, “‘The Princess’ Man’ was a project that had lots of controversy and troubles, but I am happy that we were able to finish it successfully and that we are able to stand here today. I was able to reflect on how much I lack. Everyday during filming, I felt like I was leaving to fight. However, this project is very meaningful to me because it showed me that I love this fight.”

Additionally, miss A’s Suzy won awards for ‘Best Couple’ and ‘Rookie Actress’ while After School’s UEE also won an award for ‘Rookie Actress’.

Winners from the SBS 2011 Drama Awards

SBS’s “2011 Drama Awards” ended the year by awarding actor Han Suk Gyu with the Daesang.

Han Suk Gyu was recognized for his outstanding portrayal of King Sejong in the historical series, ‘Tree With Deep Roots‘. After accepting the trophy, the actor said, “First, I would like to thank my parents. I thank my parents who have given me everything from my voice to inner spirituality.”

He continued, “As an actor, there are a few things that are very important. One is the script, I feel thankful towards the scriptwriters. Next is the stage. I thank all the officials who created the set. Last is the audience. There are actors because there are people who watch. I sincerely thank the audience who steadfastly gave their support and love. Personally, if I were to add one more, it would be [to thank] my colleagues whom I worked alongside with.”

He added, “After working year after year, you begin to learn how precious your colleagues are. I think I received this big award on behalf of all my colleagues who participated in ‘Tree with Deep Roots’. I thank you“.

(2011) SBS Gayo Daejun Performances- Part 1

The end-of-year festivals are much-anticipated particulary for the many joint stages. SBS kicks things off in grand style.

Descending onto the stage in a fabulous diamond-shaped object the ladies of Girls’ Generation provided a sneak peak of things to come with a short routine to Daft Punk’s “Technologic”. They were then joined by Super Junior, who performed well despite their prerecording issues. The pair of superstar idol groups really got the crowd going in their ‘Moves Like Mick Jagger’ Stage.

After performances from K.Will (including a duet with Girls’ Generation’s TIffany), December, Jun.K/Davichi joint stage, it was the popular rookies’ turn to impress.

Usually end of the year shows focus on senior established artists, in addition to performing shortened versions of their hits, B1A4 and Dal Shabet danced a ‘Hollywood Stage’ and A-Pink and Boyfriend had a ‘Cupid Stage’.

(2011) SBS Gayo Daejun Performances- Part 2

The end-of-year festivals are much-anticipated particulary for the many joint stages. SBS kicks things off in grand style with their now legendary annual music festival, ‘Gayo Daejun‘. With awesome Girls’ Generation/Super Junior, Davichi, and rookie joint stages.

Then, it was time for girls to “Run the World” as G.NA, Brown Eyed Girl’s Ga-in, HyunA, SISTAR’s Hyorin, T-ARA’s Jiyeon, miss A’s Fei, and SECRET’s Sunhwa took fierceness to a whole new level in their performance of Beyonce’s massive hit.

Once the ladies finished their joint and individual stages, it was the fellas turn to perform. Much to the delight of A+s and Inspirits, MBLAQ & INFINITE came together for a powerful and sexy dance battle, heating up the atmosphere with a masculine scarf dance.

2011 MBC Drama Awards Full Winners List re[posted]

MBC TV held its 2011 MBC Drama Awards ceremony on the night of December 30th, 2011. The MC of the 2011 MBC Drama Awards ceremony is Jung Jun Ho and Lee Ha Nui (Lee Honey). As announced, the Daesang has been changed to Drama Award of the Year, and been awarded to a hit drama series, The Greatest Love.

The whole production team of The Greatest Love up in stage to accept the Drama of the Year award.

Kong Hyo Jin ‘awarding herself’ the Top Excellence Award for Miniseries division as she is the presenter for the award.

The ’2011 SBS Entertainment Daesang’ took place on December 30th at 8:45pm at the SBS Public Hall in Deungchongdong, Seoul with MC’s Kim Yong Man, Kim Won Hee, and Shin Bong Sun. Actress Song Ji Hyo and singer Kim Jong Kook won the ‘Excellence award’ jointly for the category of variety.

Song Ji Hyo expressed she her gratefulness as she said, “In reality, I don’t have any feel for variety. I’m actually shy but I really thank the production staff who have made this possible.”

Song Ji Hyo added, “There isn’t anything I could do so I worked hard. I will run hard next year too.”

Though Song Ji Hyo boasts absolutely stunning beauty also, it was her down to earth ways that have earned her a lot of love on ‘Running Man’. Song Ji Hyo is the only female member on ‘Running Man’ and she is a true team member who makes up the much moved ‘Monday Couple’ with her Monday boyfriend Gary. Song Ji Hyo’s impressive run on ‘Running Man’ has earned her a nickname the Ace and her cute blank stares earned her another nick name Mong Ji Hyo.

Singer Kim Jong Kook is known for his smooth voice that has the ability to melt down any female heart. On ‘Running Man’, Kim Jong Kook shows off more than just the smooth side. Kim Jong Kook’s skillful turn on ‘Running Man’ has earned him nicknames like Sparta Kim Jong Kook and The Commander.

As Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook won the ‘Excellence Award’, the power of the love of the viewers for ‘Running Man’ could be felt. It is a good day for ‘Running Man’

The boys of ‘Running Man’ are certainly looking handsome but the one and only female member of ‘Running Man’ Song Ji Hyo was a knock out. As Song Ji Hyo walked the red carpet in a little black dress matched with a delicate pair of shoes, many could not seem to look away. Miss Mong Ji Hyo as the fans refer to her lovingly, looked exceptionally cute hiding behind the manly Kim Jong Kook. One wonders whether Gary would be ok with Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook looking so cute together.

Yoo Jae Suk was among nominees Daesang for ‘Running Man’ and IU and Shin Bong Sun were also to offer an interesting collaborative stage at the ’2011 SBS Entertainment Daesang’.

Yoo Jae Suk honored with Daesang & mentions friend Kang Ho Dong Re[posted]

The ’2011 SBS Entertainment Daesang’ took place on December 30th at 8:45pm at the SBS Public Hall in Deungchongdong, Seoul with MC’s Kim Yong Man, Kim Won Hee, and Shin Bong Sun.

The National MC Yoo Jae Suk beat out strong nominees Lee Kyung Kyu, Kim Byung Man, and Lee Seung Gi to win the Daeasang.

Yoo Jae Suk has been an integral force in bringing up the low ratings of ‘Running Man’ to almost 20%. Yoo Jae Suk had won the Daesang in 2008 and 2009 with ‘Family Outing’ but last year’s Daesang had gone to Kang Ho Dong. Although regretably in Kang Ho Dong’s absence, Yoo Jae Suk reclaimed the Daesang this year.

Yoo Jae Suk said, “I thank many people for being able to receive such a huge award. I really thank the viewers in particular who have trusted us and waited for us.”

Yoo Jae Suk added emotionally, “Even till the beginning of this year, the fate of ‘Running Man’ was unknown. There were many discussions internally but like Jo Hyo Jin PD mentioned, every week was unnerving because of ratings. I want to share the honor with the staff and the ‘Running Man’ members who have gone through it all together. I don’t think I could to do anything alone. I think all is possible because we did it together.”

Yoo Jae Suk mentioned Kang Ho Dong as well saying, “I hesitate bacause I wonder if mentioning him will make things harder for hyungnim. A little while back, I talked to him (Kang Ho Dong) on the phone. Hyungnim said to me at the end, ‘Jae Suk, keep going brave’. Hyungnim I really miss you. I will keep going brave in 2012 as hyungnim has said. Hyungnim, I really want you here with us next year.”

Yoo Jae Suk seemed a little shy as he thank his wife Na Kyung Eun announcer of MBC, “Na Kyung Eun, thank you and love you” and many viewers were touched.

Entertainer Yoo Jae Suk and his variety program ‘Running Man’ swept the awards at the ’2011 Entertainment Daesang’.

The ’2011 SBS Entertainment Daesang’ took place on December 30th at 8:45pm at the SBS Public Hall in Deungchongdong, Seoul with MC’s Kim Yong Man, Kim Won Hee, and Shin Bong Sun.

Yoo Jae Suk was honored with the Daesang at the ’2011 SBS Entertainment Daesang’.

‘Running Man’ did not stop at just the highest honor of the night, Daesang for its leader. ‘Running Man’ swept the awards with ‘Best Program Award’, ‘Excellence Award’, ‘Newcomer Award’ and more.

‘Running Man’ has been named the ‘Best Program’ and member Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo received the ‘Excellence Award’. HaHa and Lee Kwang Soo also each won the ‘Best Entertainer Award’ and ‘Newcomer in Variety Award’.

‘Running Man’ seemed to sweep the awards across the board.

2011 was a fruitful year for the ‘Running Man’ staff and cast. The hard work they have put into the program seems to be paying off not only in the form of the love from its international viewers but at year end awards as well.

On December 30th, stars from all over Korea gathered for the 2011 SBS Entertainment Awards, which honored the best and brightest of SBS’s programs this year.

While many were looking forward to seeing Kang Ho Dong nab his sixth consecutive award, the talented host was unfortunately nixed from nominations due to his tax scandal.
