Actress Song Ji Hyo talked about her feelings on wrapping up the drama ‘Gaebaek’.
Song Ji Hyo played the role of Eungo on MBC TV’s ‘Gaeback’, who goes from a good woman to a villainess.
Song Ji Hyo relayed how she felt about the end of the drama stating, “Since last summer, it’s been about 5 months but it was a precious time that feels like a very short memory. The schedule was so tight and there were so many outdoor filmings that the staff must have been very tired too but I appreciated that you have made it so easy for acting”.
Song Ji Hyo also added, “Eungo was a strong and graceful woman. There were difficulties also because there were various emotions and changes in the character, but the cutthroat life of Eungo was a great experience as an actress”, revealing her attachment to the role. Song Ji Hyo continued, “It’s all thanks to the viewers that loved the drama and Eungo. I thank everyone who has watched ‘Gaebaek’”.
On the last episode of ‘Gaebaek’ which aired on November 22nd, Eungo took her own life, sad that she was not able to protect her country and people.
Eungo, at the beginnig of the drama was a political character with exceptional beauty, intelligent grace who stood against Queen Sataek and was loved and trusted by Gaebaek and King Euija. However, towards the latter half of the drama, she became a villainess who plotted and lied for her political ambition contributing to the tension in the flow of the story of ‘Gaebaek’.
